I started this blog because of my passion for both food and photography. Lately however, I’ve been neglecting my photography which is really showing now that I think about it. I want this blog to be my ultimate creative journey; rediscovering that spark I once had taking beautiful photographs and to uncover my potential in the world of food.

Now I wonder why I didn’t start this blog a long time ago. Everyday I read some truly inspirational blogs with the most exquisite recipes and amazing photographs.
It was only until I discovered the “Iron Cupcake: Earth” challenge that pushed me into creating a blog of my own.

So who am I? Where am I?

My name is Shalini, I’m 21 and I live in Canberra Australia.
I am a public servant by day and an amateur artist by night. I love photography, I sculpt miniature dollhouse food and I LOVE to cook (especially bake).

I am a geek in every sense of the word – I play computer games, console games, and I even roleplay.
I love science fiction and basically live on the internet. But don’t get me wrong, I do get out quite a bit. I love to travel and I fly interstate many times a year.

I love my heritage; my Mother is from Bangladesh and my Father is Australian born with Dutch parents. I am so grateful that I inherited both my parents amazing ability to cook so many wonderful things. I know that one day I’ll pass on the skills and knowledge to my own children.
